Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Ravex ("we") collects when you use the TURF app and website, why, and the choices you have. TURF is for scoring and following cricket and football matches.
What we collect
- Account: your email address (to send sign-in codes, or as Apple or Google share it when you sign in with them), your name, an optional profile photo, the sports you play and your playing details (role, batting hand, bowling style, position).
- Teams and matches: teams you create or join, squads, availability answers, and every scoring event in matches you score. Scores, scorecards and stats are derived from these events.
- Guest players: a captain can add a teammate without an account by name only; their match stats are kept with the team.
- Approximate location (optional): only if you turn on "Available as a scorer", your location rounded to about 1 km and an area name, so teams nearby can find you. Turning it off removes it. We never ask for precise location.
- Notifications: your device's push token, and which notification types you have switched on.
- Purchases: if you buy Pro or a Team Pass, the store (Apple or Google) handles payment; we receive your subscription status through RevenueCat. We never see your card details.
- Technical data: server logs with IP address and request times, used for security, rate limiting and fixing problems.
- Crash reports and app diagnostics: when the app crashes or something fails (for example a score that won't sync), it sends an error report with the device model, OS and app version, the screen you were on and a short technical log, linked to your player ID (not your name or email). Message text and photos are not included.
- Feedback you send: what you write in "Send feedback" (Settings, or shake your phone), an optional screenshot if you attach one, and your name and email only if you type them in.
What other people can see
Matches, scores, team names and squads are public in TURF so anyone can follow a game. Your profile and stats are visible to others unless you make your profile private in Settings (teammates still see your stats), and you can hide yourself from search. Content you share (a match link or result card) is visible to whoever you share it with.
Advertising
The free version of the app shows a small number of ads from Google AdMob, never on the scoring screens. Ads are not personalised unless you allow it in Settings; Google may use device identifiers to show and measure ads as described in Google's advertising policy. Pro and Team Pass remove ads in the app.
This website (turf.ravex.io) shows ads from Google AdSense on some pages, never on this policy, the terms or the account deletion page.
Cookies on this website
turf.ravex.io uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful, and Google AdSense to show ads. Both may set cookies. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland they wait until you answer Google's consent message; elsewhere they are on by default. Change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. The site has no accounts and sets no other cookies.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your data. We use service providers to run TURF: our hosting providers, an email provider for sign-in codes and invites, Expo (Apple and Google) for push notifications, RevenueCat for purchases, Sentry for crash reports, diagnostics and feedback, Google AdMob for ads in the app, and Google AdSense and Google Analytics on this website. They process data only to provide those services. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account while you use TURF. When you delete your account, we remove your email, name, photo and location at once and make your profile private. Match records you took part in stay, shown as "Deleted player", so other teams' scorecards and tables stay correct. Server logs are kept for a short period.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile, privacy, search and notification settings in the app.
- Delete your account in the app: Me → Settings → Delete account (how it works).
- Ask for a copy of your data or a correction by contacting us.
Children
TURF is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Sign-in uses one-time email codes, Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In; we don't store passwords.
Changes
We will update this page when the policy changes and show the new date at the top.
